Prayer is essential to the Christian life. All are called to a life of unceasing prayer—it's our means of building intimacy with our Heavenly Father. This life of connection is assumed for every believer.

The Edge Church is seeing incredible revival in the ministry of the Holy Spirit through prayer. You can receive prayer ministry at The Edge in three main ways:
Sunday Service
After every Sunday service we have an equipped and accountable Prayer Ministry Team ready to pray for anyone desiring an encounter with God. This is a powerful ministry! People have been set free, healed, and introduced to Jesus for the very first time and much, much more. If you visit The Edge, make sure to come up and get blessed by this team!
Regarding Sunday Service, we also have a dynamic connection between prayer ministry and Quest (our children’s ministry), when team members and staff pray over the kids before and during class time.
Freedom Prayer
Are you free? If Christ has set you free, you are in free indeed! Another powerful prayer expression at The Edge is our Freedom Prayer ministry. We firmly believe that all who call Jesus their Lord should be walking in freedom.
“His (God’s) divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.”
If you routinely experience fear or doubt, struggle with habitual sin, harbor unforgiveness or bitterness or have wounds from the past that keep you from “getting to the next level” in your walk with Christ, we can tell you emphatically that you need freedom!
Freedom Prayer is administered to an individual by a small team (usually 2-3 people) of trained and accountable members of the Ministry Team. A session is usually 2-4 hours in length (depending on the needs of the individual).
There are a few necessary aspects of this ministry that should be clearly understood up front.
Because the gateway to freedom is confession and repentance (1 John 1:9, James 5:16), the individual should come to the session ready to confess any known sin or struggle areas.
Also, the individual needs to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit through the ministry team to explore any other areas that may be difficult to address (other areas of sin, past wounds, etc.). These aspects of the ministry are critical to breakthrough.
All information uncovered in the session is held in strict confidence by the ministers that were present in the session. Every prayer minister has signed a confidentiality/non-disclosure statement.

New Life Prayer
What are your Spiritual gifts? What is the unique call that God has placed on your life? These are the types of things we explore with New Life ministry. This ministry is presence- and prophetic-driven and can happen in the Community Group setting, or in unique groups set up for this purpose. For more information on New Life Prayer, please contact us.
Acute Intercessory Prayer
A common mistake that churches make is to have all of the church pray for every single need of every single person in the church. This is one reason why The Edge is Community-Group-driven, with smaller cells of people bearing each other's burdens and walking out life together. However, there are times where acute prayer needs do warrant the attention of the entire congregation. Some examples include, but are not limited to:
Times of serious illness
Struggles related to persecution
Hardships or emergencies where every moment is critical, etc.
In these cases an Elder or administrator from The Edge will reach out to the person(s) involved and clarify the desired channels for communication.
